Plate beamsplitters-precision grade (λ/4)

These optical Precision grade Beamsplitter components are considerably lighter and cheaper than traditional cube beamsplitters, and avoid problems with stray back reflected light from entry and exit faces. These Precision grade Beamsplitters are available for use in Visible and Infrared wavelengths components with 50/50 split ratio.

These optical Precision grade Beamsplitters have ion-plated dielectric multilayer coatings giving excellent durability and neutrality and are much less affected by temperature changes than ordinary coatings and components. The back of the Beamsplitters are multilayer AR coated to almost eliminate the spurious reflection. These Precision grade Beamsplitters are made from optically polished BK7, flat and parallel. Typical usage is in laser applications.

Optical Plate beamsplitters general purpose grade (λ/4)

These General-purpose Beamsplitter components are considerably lighter and cheaper than traditional cube beamsplitters. And avoid problems with stray back reflected light from entry and exit faces. These General-purpose Beamsplitters are available for use in Visible and Infrared wavelengths. General-purpose grade Beamsplitters are also available in 50/50 or 70/30 ratios.

These General-purpose Beamsplitters have ion-plated dielectric multilayer coatings giving excellent durability and neutrality and are much less affected by temperature changes than ordinary coatings. The back of the Beamsplitters are multilayer AR coated to almost eliminate the spurious reflection. They come in two thicknesses, 1mm for compactness, and 3mm thick float glass, which is less fragile. B270 glass is used for the IR-range to avoid the strong IR absorption of float glass. Typical usage is in laser applications and other Scientific optics.

Plate Beamsplitters-Economy Grade

These Economy optical Plate Beamsplitters have a single layer dielectric TiO2 beam-splitting coating, without the AR coating on the back. The average ratio split of 30 - 40% is in the visible. The material is available as large sheets at low cost so other sizes are available at short notice. These beamsplitters are typically used in simple lighting applications.

Cube beamsplitters-Visible grade

Cube beamsplitters, although more expensive than plates, have the advantages of stability, ease of mounting, equality of optical paths and absence of second-surface ghost image. This range has hybrid coatings with considerably smaller polarising effect than the common all-dielectric component types
